Lisa Fonssagrives, born in Sweden with her elegant, refined air, combined with her skilful
understanding of movement was a dominant force in the fashion industry in the 1940s-1950s, frequently gracing the pages and covers of leading fashion magazines such as Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue.
Dovima, born Dorothy Virginia Margaret Juba in New York in 1927, transcended the
archetype of the girl-next-door with her strikingly exotic Irish-American beauty and dark hair. She embodied an aura of regalty, elegance, and unapproachability that made her highly
desirable in the world of fashion. Her unique appearance propelled her to the zenith of 1950s haute couture, making her the face of Dior’s revolutionary “New Look”.
Dorian Leigh, multifaceted cover girl of the 1940s-1950s with a great feminine look projected a captivating sensual elegance. She appeared on seven Vogue covers and graced the covers of 50 more glossy magazines. Perhaps best known for her appearances as a signature model for Revlon’s Fire and Ice lipstick and nail polish.
